At lunchtime, you will depart for Olduvai Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Olduvai Gorge is where some of the oldest human fossils have been found.

You will have the opportunity to visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum, which houses a collection of fossils and artifacts from the site. You can also take a guided walking tour of the gorge to learn more about its history and significance.

In the late afternoon, you will return to Karatu with many impressions of your safari.

Depending on your flight schedule, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel in Karatu and transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your international flight home. It is important to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This will give you enough time to check in for your flight and go through security.
